The EMS building is a 12,000-s.f., new three vehicle bay addition to the existing Grand Canyon National Park Emergency Medical Services Clinic.
The building is slab on grade, masonry and structural steel building with thermal plastic membrane roofing. Site work included new site utilities, new paved parking areas, and looped drive. This project is located in a remote, heavily forested area with weather and environmental conditions being factors. Site constraints were also significant as the new building was linked to the existing EMS clinic, which was operational during our construction. The project site was fenced using chain link fencing, barricades and signage were used to direct traffic.
